VALENCIA, Spain - Liu Xiang of China has won the 60-meter hurdles at the world indoor championships.
The Olympic and world champion was slow out of the blocks but powered through to win in 7.46 seconds. Triple champion Allen Johnson took silver in 7.55.
Evgeniy Borisov of Russia and Stanislavs Olijars shared bronze at 7.60.
Liu's main rival, Dayron Robles of Cuba, was eliminated in the heats when he wrongly assumed a false start.
