Foreign direct investment into China rose 44.5 per cent in the first seven months of the year compared with the same period last year, the government says.
Foreign companies invested $US60.7 billion ($A68.83 billion) in China in the period from January to July, the commerce ministry said in a brief statement posted on its website.
The ministry did not give a figure for the month of July alone.
Foreign direct investment is one of the factors behind rapid growth in China's foreign exchange reserves, which topped $US1.8 trillion ($A2.04 trillion) at the end of June(AFP)
